BRS Building Rectification Services has recently been engaged to conduct podium refurbishment works at The Nelson Apartments in Paradise Waters.
Offering a 10-year warranty on waterproofing works, BRS Building Rectification Services was engaged by the Body Corporate to repair and replace waterproofing, tiling, repaint and general maintenance of some 1st level podium areas, including planter boxes and balconies.
The Nelson Apartments is a high-density, long-term and holiday-rental residential tower offering beachside living in a prime location,
Refurbishment works began with completely removing tiles, tile beds, existing waterproof membranes and some fencing, and concrete grinding work.
Moisture barriers and a polyurethane waterproofing system were then applied.
Tiling was laid to match the existing podium tiling, and intermediate and perimeter joint sealing was conducted.
Fencing was re-installed, adjoining walls painted, and general maintenance sealing of the area completed the scope of works.
BRS also offered the Body Corporate advice on other potential maintenance issues.
The project ran seamlessly, with constant communication between Body Corporate and residents.
